The advantages of space frame structure application

Bolt ball welded ball hybrid node analysis
Bolt ball node and welded ball node both have unique application advantages, taking the hybrid node way that integrates two nodes can fully integrate multiple advantages and better meet the requirements of the project on the quality, adaptability and construction efficiency of the space frame structure construction. When the space frame structure adopts mixed nodes, the number of nodes of each type accounts for different ratios in general. Most of the ends of the rods are connected with bolted balls, and there are more bolted ball nodes, and only a small number of nodes choose welded balls, at which time the stable connection between rods and balls needs to be realized by means of welding. According to the mixed ideas of multiple types of nodes, a variety of more common rod connection forms are derived. Bolt ball welded ball hybrid node means that the nodes in the space frame are connected in two ways. In the engineering construction, the force characteristics of each rod are different, and the corresponding rod connection methods need to be flexibly adjusted with the actual situation. The internal force of the rod (assumed as "A") and the tensile bearing capacity of M64 high-strength bolts (assumed as "B") are compared and analyzed.
(1) Condition 1: A is not greater than B and the ends of the rod do not intersect with the nodes of the welded ball, it is appropriate to take the method of "both ends of the rod are bolt ball nodes".
(2) Condition 2: A is greater than B or A is not greater than B but both ends of the rod are intersected by the rod with more than B tension, it is appropriate to take the method of "both ends of the rod are welded ball nodes.
(3) Condition 3: A is not greater than B, but one end of the rod intersects with the rod with more than B tension or intersects with the support with greater tension, it is appropriate to take the method of "welded ball nodes, bolt ball nodes at both ends of the rod".
