When people ask us where our church is located, we sort of chuckle a little. That's because we believe that church is not a building or a program that takes place in that building. It's not a what or a where; it's a who. Church is a group of ordinary people who are seeking to live out the gospel in everyday life, joining up with God in His mission to bless, serve, and transform the world - and especially our corner of it in Bangor, Maine.
We primarily do this through our missional communities and our gathering together of these communities each Saturday morning.

The Bangor Seventh-day Adventist Church exists to be a safe, serving and Jesus-centered community.

Our vision is to be a disciple-making community, made up of smaller communities, to reach others for Christ.

We are passionate about growing missional communities, aiming to be a church where everyone is sharing life together, giving people permission to grow in grace at the Spirit’s pace.
Compassion
We aim to be a church where every person who enters any circle knows they belong – everyone being themselves without judgment – acknowledging our shared humanity and recognizing that everyone bears the image of God.
Discipleship
We are committed to deepening our personal knowledge of and likeness to Jesus, seeking to know, grow, and follow Him, allowing God to do through us what He has already done to us, and teaching and leading others to do the same.
Incarnation
We seek to embody the gospel in everyday life, living as outposts of God’s love in our neighborhoods and communities, learning others’ stories and serving them as fellow children of God.
Scripture
We believe that the Story of God, as found in Scripture, is the life-changing foundation that tells us who we are and how our story of brokenness can be transformed into a story of belovedness through the love of God.
