For years, Career Services has searched for the right opportunity to have our own business and/or product, something that would provide stable funding and continue to support our mission of expanding inclusive job opportunities for everyone.
n 2019, Career Services of Brockville Inc. established Career Services Group Limited (CSG), a wholly owned subsidiary, that will umbrella several for profit business ventures, the first being kollage SQUARE ™ Needles. CSG Ltd. will allow Career Services to explore a variety of opportunities for business and organizational growth while enhancing our current funding efforts. All profits earned from CSG Ltd. will be used to encourage and expand inclusive employment opportunities for people with barriers (all barriers, including persons with disabilities, immigrants and visible minorities) to support their work and life goals.
Career Services Group Ltd. was proud to launch kollage SQUARE™ Needles at its grand opening on January 24, 2020. kollage SQUARE™ needles are ergonomic and can enable individuals with hand ailments, arthritis, and carpal tunnel the ability to knit again and for longer periods of time. Our Square knitting needles also provide more consistent stitches and our product lines include circular needles (firm and soft), double pointed needles, straight needles, SONIX needles, crochet hooks and our interchangeable set with its patented connection system.
We instantly knew that Career Services’ vision of supporting people with disabilities and Kollage’s mission to help those with hand and wrist pain were the perfect match. We love being a part of the crafting world; but for us, the most exciting part is this: all profits made from manufacturing and selling kollage Square™ needles go back to our charity to provide and support inclusive employment opportunities!
