At Green Goddess, our mission is to help people live healthier lives by providing the Adirondack Region with a whole foods natural market that offers organic and local produce, affordable bulk products, and high quality supplements. We make organic and locally-sourced foods in our Cafe and Deli, and offer Farm to Table menus for catering and events. We extend our community service by donating food to local non-profits, volunteering with the Adirondack Farm to School Initiative and Reason to Smile, and offer FREE Community Wellness Classes and low-cost Cooking classes for all ages. OUR STORY
Owners Wynde Kate Reese and Tammy Loewy met in 2001 while working at a vegetarian restaurant in Keene Valley, and instantly became friends. Sharing a passion for healthy food and a love of the outdoors, they merged their expertise in 2004 by creating Green Goddess Foods, LLC. Pioneers of the Adirondack Farm to Table Movement, they were vendors at the first Lake Placid Farmer's Market, where they sold prepared foods using seasonal, farm-fresh ingredients.

In 2007 they expanded there business by opening Green Goddess Natural Foods in Lake Placid.
In 2010, Green Goddess was presented with the Excellence in Small Business award from the New York Small Business Association.
In 2013, they expanded again and reopened in their current location, which includes a cafe, deli, nutrition counseling, and catering services and offers Whole Foods Cooking Classes and Holistic Wellness Classes.
In 2014, Green Goddess opened the Nordic Cafe and Loppet Lounge at Mt. Van Hoevenberg's Olympic Nordic Ski Center. This seasonal cafe and bar offers skiers Farm to Table Breakfast, Lunch, a Trail-side Waffle Hut @ Josie's Cabin and an eclectic bar menu of cocktails and mocktails.
In 2016, Wynde Kate and Tammy were awarded the Small Business Person(s) of the Year Award for New York State. This qualified them to run for the National Award in Washington D.C.
