Our East Bridgewater funeral home is family-owned and operated and was acquired in 2008 by Chapman Funerals & Cremations. Long ago, this funeral home belonged to the town philanthropists, Michael and Ellen Roach. A well-known contractor, Mr. Roach helped build state highway Route 18 through East Bridgewater, a major thoroughfare to Cape Cod and Southeastern Massachusetts at the time. In the 1950s, the Roach family sold the homestead to funeral director Bruce Anderton of Whitman, who we bought it from in 2008.
