Originally known as the Maine RSDS Patient Advocacy Group, it transitioned to a global platform with the launch of its website, www.RSDHope.org, in 1994. Despite personal sacrifices, the Orsini family remained dedicated to helping CRPS sufferers, driven by Keith Orsini's own battle with the condition since 1974. The organization provided vital information and education to patients, families, and healthcare professionals, aiming to alleviate the hopelessness often associated with CRPS. While not medical professionals, the organization aimed to supplement medical advice with valuable resources and updates. In July 2004, the organization lost its founder, Bob Orsini, to cancer, followed by his daughter Karen in January 2012. Despite these losses, the organization continued its mission with the support of family members and volunteers, until its closure in recent years.
